According to FAOSTAT statistics, in 2020 Vietnam exported 5,197 tons of ginger, return12.53 million USD, however reduced to4,619 tons ($9.97 million)in 2021 and3,107 tons ($8.67 million)in 2022.

Moving into 2023, according to Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), total export volume of ginger, turmeric and other spices reached 34,976 tons, worth49.3 million USD, an increase of more than222%compared to the same period last year. In particular,China entered 10,271 tons, an increase of 437%.
